06Sustainability

The quiet form
of sustainability.

No badges we have not earned, no numbers we cannot evidence. Luperal's contribution is engineered permanence: systems built to last, to be moved, and to be taken apart.

Permanence is the point.

Built to last, to be moved, and to be taken apart

Principles

  1. Aluminium is permanently recyclable

Aluminium can be remelted and reused repeatedly without degrading. Specifying an aluminium system means specifying a material with an established end-of-life pathway, not a landfill obligation.

General property of aluminium, not a Luperal-specific measurement.

  2. Durability is the first sustainability

A partition engineered for a long service life is replaced less often. Extrusion quality, gasket engineering, and finish durability all serve the same goal: long service life.

  3. Demountable by design

The T-slot post logic of the Silentium range allows partitions to be reconfigured when the floor plan changes, moving walls instead of demolishing them, and keeping material in use.

  4. Replaceable, not disposable

Gaskets, glazing units, door leaves, and hardware are individually replaceable. A damaged component is a maintenance task, not a system replacement.

  1. Finishes that last

Qualicoat Class 2 powder coating, architectural anodising, and PVD coatings are specified for a long surface life, which reduces refinishing and replacement.

  2. Material efficiency

Profile geometry is engineered to do more with less section: slim sightlines and considered wall thicknesses, with no more aluminium than the structure and the acoustic design need.

  3. Acoustic comfort is a health metric

Speech privacy and noise control are recognised components of healthy interiors. Acoustic criteria appear in building rating frameworks; whether a project earns credit depends on that project's own assessment.

  4. Documentation readiness

Luperal is prepared for consultant-led sustainability documentation workflows. Material declarations and project-specific information are available on request where applicable, and we state only what we can evidence.

Materials

What the systems are made of.

Stated by component. The standards are those the materials are specified to. None of them is an environmental certification.

  • Profiles

    Material
Extruded aluminium alloy 6063-T5 / T6 (EN 573-3, EN 755-2). Extruded in Qatar.
In use and at end of use
Aluminium is recyclable by remelting.General property of aluminium, not a Luperal-specific measurement.
  • Glazing

    Material
Toughened and laminated safety glass (EN 12150, EN 14449).
In use and at end of use
    Glass panels are removable units.
  • Gaskets

    Material
    EPDM, continuous.
In use and at end of use
    Replaceable without dismantling the frame.
  • Finishes

    Material
Anodising (EN 12373-1, QUALANOD), polyester powder coat (Qualicoat Class 2, EN 12206-1, minimum 60 µm), or PVD.
In use and at end of use
The finish is specified per project.
  • Assembly

    Material
    Mechanically assembled T-slot post system.
In use and at end of use
Demountable: partitions can be taken down and re-erected.
In use

In use: maintain, reconfigure, take apart.

Replaceable parts

Gaskets, glazing units, door leaves and hardware are individually replaceable. A damaged component is a maintenance task, not a system replacement.

Reconfiguration

The T-slot post logic of the Silentium range lets partitions be moved when the floor plan changes. The wall is relocated, not demolished.

Disassembly

The Silentium partitions are dry-assembled: the glass is held by gaskets, not bonded to the frame. When a partition is taken down, the aluminium profiles, the glass and the gaskets separate from one another and can be handled as separate material streams.

Maintenance

Care and maintenance instructions are issued with the project handover documents.

Evidence status

What exists, and what does not.

The position on environmental documentation today, stated without rounding up.

Product-specific EPD
Not published. Life-cycle data is being prepared; no verified declaration exists yet.
Aluminium supply
The extruder publishes a third-party verified environmental product declaration for its profiles. The reference is provided to project consultants on request.
Recycled content, carbon figures, service life
No Luperal-specific figures are published. None are claimed.

A note on claims

We do not publish environmental certifications, recycled-content percentages, or carbon figures we do not hold. When project-specific declarations are required, our engineering team works directly with the appointed consultant.
